Dermabrasion is a corrective technique that abrades the superficial layers of the skin. The results are obtained by mechanical action, unlike peelings that use chemical products.
Description of the dermabrasion technique
Dermabrasion is carried out by a specialist, using a metal brush or an ultra-fine lathe.
The planer, or lathe, has a rough surface. They rotate at a very high speed and are applied directly to the areas to be treated. Depending on the expected results, the specialist can adapt:
The abrasiveness of the brush or lathe
The pressure exerted by passing the apparatus
After the passage of the lathe or metal brush, the superficial layers of the epidermis disappear completely or partially, which forces the skin to regenerate. This phenomenon is accompanied by skin retraction: the “new” skin appears smoother and firmer.
